Travis Audubon Advanced Training Opportunities

Travis Audubon has scheduled several advanced training opportunities for December.  Participation in these activities has been approved for Master Naturalist Advanced Training hours:

  1.  Beginner’s Bird Walk at Walnut Creek Trail will be held Saturday, December 5, 8:00- 10:00 am.  This activity is being hosted by Virginia Rose and Judith Bailey.  Participants should meet at the YMCA, 5315 Ed Bluestein (Hwy 183) opposite the intersection with East 51st Street in Austin.  Look for the group at the far end of the parking lot, wearing binoculars!  No registration is required.  For additional information visit travisaudubon.org/audubonevents.
  2. Hornsby Bend Monthly Bird Walk;  This event is being held at Hornsby Bend, Austin’s premier birding site.  It is scheduled for Saturday, December 19, from 7:00 – 11:00 am.  All levels of birders are welcome and no registration is required.  For more information contact [email protected].  Hornsby Bend is located east of Austin off FM 973.
