“Texas Riparian and Stream Ecosystems” – July 27, 2017

Event Title/Topic:  “Texas Riparian and Stream Ecosystems”

Description:   The presentation will cover stream and watershed form, what a properly functioning stream system is, and best management practices to support healthy stream and riparian areas.

Presented by:  Clare Entwistle
Clare Entwistle is a Research Associate for the Texas Water Resources Institute.  She provides leadership for various research and extension projects, working with university faculty, state, local and federal governments and stakeholders, to address statewide water related issues.  Her work focuses on watershed planning efforts and conducting the Texas Riparian & Stream Ecosystem Workshops.

Entwistle received her bachelor’s degree in mathematics with a minor in biology from Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, Michigan. In 2016 she received her master of science degree in Texas A&M University’s Water Management and Hydrological Sciences program.

Schedule:  6:00 pm   Social Time with light refreshments;
6:30 pm   Short chapter business meeting with announcements;
7:00 pm   Speaker’s presentation; usually ends approximately 8:00 pm.
sometimes followed by short question & answer time.
