On September 9, 2017, Good Water Master Naturalist will offer stream monitoring training to become Texas Stream Team Certified Water Quality Monitors. The participants in this class will be trained to use both the chemical and probe monitoring kits.
The class will be from 9am to 4pm. The morning will be classroom and after lunch we will get to field test what we’ve learned on the San Gabriel River at San Gabriel Park. The classroom will be a conference room at the Williamson County Juvenile Justice Center, 1821 SE Inner Loop, Georgetown, a little over a mile south west of our usual meeting location at the Williamson County Agrilife Extension office.
Class size is limited to 24 people. Preference will be given to members in good standing from the Good Water and Balcones Canyonlands chapters of Texas Master Naturalist. If seats remain, other Texas Master Naturalists will be registered. Finally, if any seats are not filled, others from Williamson County will be registered.
Please let me know as soon as possible if you will attend the training.
If you plan to attend, I encourage you to participate in monitoring at one of our Good Water sites. To do so, go to Sign-Up Genius (http://www.signupgenius.com/go/70a0a4baca722aa8-gwmn) and sign up to monitor one or more times.
