Event Title/Topic: “Overview of the Texas Native Seeds Project and Native Seed Development for Release in Central Texas.”

Currently working as, Central Texas Project Coordinator – Texas Native Seeds Program – Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Research Institute , Texas A&M University Kingsville.
In his current position with Texas Native Seeds, he manages the collection, evaluation, and selection of native seeds for release in Central Texas.
Randy worked for the Texas Agricultural Experiment Station in Forage Research from 1999 to 2012. His previous job was Program Manager for the Borlaug Institute for International Agriculture working in the Limpopo Providence in South Africa. As Program Manager, he managed projects for Texas AgriLife Researchers and local South African collaborators working towards goals of food security and conservation agriculture.
Randy grew up in Aledo, Texas and graduated high school in 1993. Graduated from Tarleton State University with a Bachelor of Science, Animal Science, in 1998 and a Master of Science in Agriculture in 2003.

6:30 pm Short chapter business meeting with announcements;
7:00 pm Speaker’s presentation; usually ends approximately 8:00 pm.
