ABC Preparing for a Bird Friendly Spring

March 25 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

WEBINAR: Here They Come! Preparing for a Bird-Friendly Spring

WHEN: Tuesday, March 25, 2025 3:00 PM –  4:00 PM ET

WHERE: Zoom (link provided upon registration)

COST: Free!

Here they come! It’s almost springtime in North America, and beloved migratory birds like the Painted Bunting, Rufous Hummingbird, and Canada Warbler are returning to North America to breed and raise their young.

But many of the migratory species we all love are disappearing — fast. What if some spring morning we no longer heard the ethereal song of the Wood Thrush, or witnessed the incredible aerial acrobatics of a Common Nighthawk diving for insects overhead?

The journeys of migratory birds are fraught with danger, and many of the warblers, tanagers, flycatchers, and other birds en route now will never make it to their breeding territories.

People are the cause of many of the threats birds face such as habitat loss, free-roaming cats, pesticides, and glass windows – but we can also make the world safer for birds in the habitats around us, like our yards and local parks.

Join American Bird Conservancy on Tuesday, March 25 at 4pm ET to learn all the ways you can support migratory birds this season!

You’ll hear from ABC experts, including:

  • Grant Sizemore, Director of Invasive Species Programs
  • Patrick Weber, Great Lakes Wildlife Habitat Specialist
  • Sarah Belles, Gulf Coast Avian Ecologist

If you can’t make the webinar live, RSVP now and we’ll send you a recording to enjoy when the time is right for you!
