AT Opportunity: Attwater Prairie Chicken Captive Breeding Program (Lower Trinity Bird Club)

The November meeting of the LOWER TRINITY VALLEY BIRD CLUB will be held on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. at the
Mont Belvieu Methodist Church

We will meet in the fellowship hall at the back of the church.
Directions: Traveling on Eagle Drive, turn west onto Trinity St. (between the Post Office and the church). Traveling on Trinity St, turn left into the third driveway and park behind the church- enter through the door under the porte-cochere.
Our February presenter will be Kelly Pardy from the Houston Zoo. He will speak about Attwater’s Prairie Chickens.
Kelly Pardy is the Supervisor of Birds at the Houston Zoo. He has 10 years of experience working with animals in zoological settings, with 9 of those years at the Houston Zoo. He has worked as a keeper with the Attwater’s Prairie Chicken since early 2013 and began a more active involvement in management of their recovery program in December of 2020. He works closely with USFWS and other zoological institutions to help save Attwater’s Prairie Chickens in the wild.
