Atour last GBF Notebook Series on Water Quality, folks asked about the researchon the water samples collected by our volunteers. Well, the day to find out ishere! Please join us on Thursday, Feb. 27th at 6:30 pm to hear Dr. Michael G. LaMontagne, an associate professor at theUniversity of Houston–Clear Lake. His work focuses on identifying and tracking the sources ofmicrobial contamination in Galveston Bay. He will discuss how water samples collected by GBF volunteerwater monitors are used in his research, the methodologies employed in tracingbacteria sources, and the implications for public health and local ecosystems.
