Texas Master Naturalist Program

The Texas Master Naturalist program is a volunteer-based educational organization sponsored by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. The program trains volunteers to provide education, outreach, and service that support the conservation and stewardship of natural resources throughout Texas.

Mission of the Program.

Under that heading add a short paragraph explaining that the mission of the Texas Master Naturalist program is to develop a corps of well-informed volunteers who provide education, outreach, and service dedicated to the beneficial management of natural resources and natural areas within their communities.

Training and Education

Under it add a paragraph explaining that Master Naturalist training introduces participants to a wide range of topics including ecology, native plants, wildlife, water resources, conservation practices, and the cultural history of the landscape. The training program combines classroom instruction with field experiences led by subject matter experts.
