Discovering Outreach- A Hands-On Outreach and Education Workshop

Have you ever wanted to participate in an outreach booth, but you didn’t know what to bring or what to talk about when visitors approached? Thanks to the creativity and dedication of many of our members over the years, wehave a variety of discovery trunks, outreach activities, and educational tools that are available for use! Please join us August 19th, as we explore some of these resources and learn how to utilize them when interacting with the public. We will also hear more about Nature Fest, our chapter’s educational outreach event that will be held at the Bosque River Trail Nature Center on October 9th, and how you can get involved. It will be a fun, educational evening with lots of information on some of the tools that can be used to carry out our chapter’s mission to “provide education, outreach, and service dedicated to the beneficial management of natural resources and natural areas in the counties of Palo Pinto, Erath, Hamilton and Comanche.”

August Meeting will be held in-person w/ a virtual option over Zoom!
