Green Infrastructure
As requested, attached is the announcement for an upcoming GI Conference in Las Cruces on August 26. Registration for the conference should be available on-line by next week.

The EPWU-PSB is hosting a bi-national conference titled Green Approaches to Manage Storm and Reclaimed Water on September 23-24 at the Tech20 Center. The 23rd will largely be dedicated to sessions on LID and rain harvesting.

The sustainiable sites initiative at www.sustainablesites.org currently has a pilot program underway to test new guidelines and benchmarks that have been proposed for site design under the LEED program. NM/TX ASCE is sponsoring an 8-hour training in the new criteria on October 7. The training will be directed to civil engineers, landscape architects and other design professionals in the area.
