Green Infrastructure
As requested, attached is the announcement for an upcoming GI Conference in Las Cruces on August 26. Registration for the conference should be available on-line by next week.

The EPWU-PSB is hosting a bi-national conference titled Green Approaches to Manage Storm and Reclaimed Water on September 23-24 at the Tech20 Center. The 23rd will largely be dedicated to sessions on LID and rain harvesting.

The sustainiable sites initiative at www.sustainablesites.org currently has a pilot program underway to test new guidelines and benchmarks that have been proposed for site design under the LEED program. NM/TX ASCE is sponsoring an 8-hour training in the new criteria on October 7. The training will be directed to civil engineers, landscape architects and other design professionals in the area.

    There will be a Trans Mountain Cleanup on November 12 at 9:30 Am to 11:30 AM. Please help us catch up to the summer’s accumulation of trash.
    This coincides with Tigua Day at the Museum of Archaeology which lasts into the afternoon. So while you are in the neighborhood you could check that out
