Owl Story

Naturalists,

Here are some photo’s of burrowing owls that I just shot today. They are birds that reside on Ft Bliss. The ones near the side walk that you will see are in eventual danger from development of a new Post Exchange when the Fort decides to build.
They reside in a pretty hi-traffic area but are in no particular danger at this time. I have been watching them for about two years now.
The one owl you see next to the piece of discarded cement is fairly safe and has been there for several years now. He has a mate but I wasn’t lucky enough to see them together today.
The other family that I mentioned living under the sidewalk have several babies but every time I try and photo them the parents send them back
inside.
