Jessica Bergner

Jessica holds a B.Sc. in Nursing from The University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio with a minor in Biochemistry, a B.Sc. in Biology from Texas A&M University- San Antonio and a Graduate Certificate in Conservation Actions with Land, Animals and People from Colorado State University.
She began her connection with TPWD in 2017 as a natural resource volunteer at Government Canyon State Natural Area and has been employed with the agency since 2019. She is also a current Alamo Area Texas Master Naturalist (Class 44).
Jessica is a Certified Interpretive Guide through the National Association for Interpretation, sits on the Interpretation Advisory Group as a representative of Region 3 for TPWD, is a recipient of a 2022 Stars in our Parks award for interpretation, and is currently a candidate for Master Interpreter Training (tentative completion is August 2024).
Holly Platz

Holly holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences with a minor in Fisheries and Wildlife Sciences from Oregon State University.
Holly Platz has been leading and coordinating nature programs for over 13 years. She served as the Park Interpreter at 3 different state parks for a total of 10 years: Lake Casa Blanca State Park, South Llano River State Park, and Guadalupe River State Park. She supervised the Fischer Park Nature Education Center with New Braunfels Parks and Recreation for 3 years. Holly is a Certified Interpretive Guide through the National Association for Interpretation, and a Master Interpreter through Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. Holly and her husband Will have a 7-year-old son, and they love to spend time outdoors together.
She is a Certified Interpretive Guide through the National Association for Interpretation, and in 2018 she completed Texas State Parks’ Master Interpreter Training.
