Christmas Bird Count

– National Audubon Society, Cornell University, Bird Studies Canada, Gulf Coast Bird Observatory Instituto Humboldt – Columbia, National Network Bird Observers – Columbia

Local Christmas Bird Counts:
Willamson County:  Granger Lake, Georgetown
Outside Williamson County:  Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge,
Bastrop/Buescher State Parks,  Westcave Preserve, Hornsby Bend

Great Backyard Bird Count

February 14-17, 2014
Count birds in your backyard or nearby park for 15 minutes per day – you can count on
only one day or all four.

eBird

Record bird sightings either online or with smart phone apps such as BirdLog.
Reporting of birds within Williamson County and the adjacent counties will count for Volunteer Hours for the Good Water Chapter.

United States Geological Survey
