Judit Green
Judit Green, a graduate from Texas A&M University, worked for Texas Parks & Wildlife for 37 years. She became one of the first Urban Wildlife biologists in the state in 1994. Her work in San Antonio offered outreach & technical guidance related to urban wildlife and habitat management to benefit wildlife, landscapes, water, and people.
She has a strong interest in native habitat landscaping, multi-species management in urban ecosystems, and connecting families to nature to ensure future support for our natural resources. She’s a contributing author to Texas Wildscapes: Gardening for Wildlife and with 97% of Texas privately owned, she encourages all landowners, small to large, to play a part in maintaining the diversity of native plantings and wildlife found on their land to benefit the environment.
Before retiring, she worked with Audubon TX to manage the Bird City Texas statewide program to support cities that protect birds and their habitats. Finally, she is one of the co-founders of the Texas Master Naturalist™ program started in San Antonio in 1997 and served as an AAMN Advisor for 28 years and helped train various Central TX chapters. She loves sharing her knowledge knowing that together we can accomplish so much more.
