Jessica Bergner

Jessica holds a B.Sc. in Nursing from The University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio with a minor in Biochemistry, a B.Sc. in Biology from Texas A&M University- San Antonio and a Graduate Certificate in Conservation Actions with Land, Animals and People from Colorado State University.
She began her connection with TPWD in 2017 as a natural resource volunteer at Government Canyon State Natural Area and has been employed with the agency since 2019. She is also a current Alamo Area Texas Master Naturalist (Class 44).
Jessica is a Certified Interpretive Guide through the National Association for Interpretation, sits on the Interpretation Advisory Group as a representative of Region 3 for TPWD, is a recipient of a 2022 Stars in our Parks award for interpretation, and is currently a candidate for Master Interpreter Training (tentative completion is August 2024).
Holly Platz

Holly holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences with a minor in Fisheries and Wildlife Sciences from Oregon State University.
She oversees nature and recreational programs at Fischer Park, including Nature Camps, Birding 101, Fishing at Fischer, Nightlife Hikes, and many others. She started her current position in the spring of 2022, after nearly 10 years with Texas State Parks as a Park Interpreter. During her time with TPWD, she had the opportunity to work at 3 different Texas State Parks, from Laredo to the Hill Country. She most recently worked at Guadalupe River State Park, where she was able to work closely with a large team of volunteers, many of them Master Naturalists. Holly is passionate about sharing nature with others, and she loves engaging with her staff and volunteers to find creative ways to connect kids and adults to nature.
She is a Certified Interpretive Guide through the National Association for Interpretation, and in 2018 she completed Texas State Parks’ Master Interpreter Training.
