Salter Research Farm is a privately owned cattle ranch on 1,000 acres along 4 miles of the Brazos River. It is used by TAMU and others for multiple types of research. We’ll be participating in a guided hike led by our own Bob Brick and Dwight Bohlmeyer. There will be opportunities for volunteer trail building there in the future.
We will meet at the BRTC at 1:00pm and carpool to the farm (~1 hour).
Anyone planning to drive should have a high clearance vehicle.
We’ll be hiking from 2:00 to 4:00.
Bring water, sunscreen, insect repellent, and snacks if desired.
There will be restroom facilities at the farm headquarters but not along the trails.
