Mary Anne Weber is the Education Director for Houston Audubon, and is working to make Houston a better place for our resident and migrating birds. Mary Anne is proud to lead efforts to preserve our urban wild spaces, and encourages all Houstonians to experience the joy that comes from making room for birds and other wildlife in our decisions—whether through planting native plants, building owl boxes, or advocating for more natural spaces in our neighborhoods.
Better bird habitats in Houston support all urban wildlife and make Houston a happier, healthier place for people, too. Come learn all about how to attract more birds to your garden in today’s seminar. Birds are drawn to landscapes for many reasons, but plants are critical elements. Plants provide nectar, nesting sites, and protective cover, not to mention food in the form of seeds, nuts, berries, and other fruits. Choosing plants known to please a variety of bird species, is a great way to create ideal bird habitats.
