We can all play a part in bird conservation. Whether you participate in community science, grow native plants, or donate to Audubon. Together, we can protect birds and the places they need by being Bird Friendly Texans.

This spring, Audubon Texas is launching a new conservation action webinar series called, “Bird Friendly Texan.”  Expert speakers will present on a variety of topics followed by a conversation and Q&A concluding with tangible actions individuals and communities can take to help our feathered friends.

Join us for our first webinar this month! We look forward to growing our flock of Bird Friendly Texans with you.

When: Friday, April 28th at 12:00pm

What: Coastal 100: An Audubon Texas Origin Story.
Since 1923, Audubon Texas has managed and protected bird rookery islands along the Texas Coast. Today we lease or own 177 islands. Our coast provides wintering grounds and stop over sites for many species of long-distance migratory birds. Unfortunately, it faces mounting challenges from erosion, loss of habitat and increased storm impacts. Hear from our speakers about the work we are doing to protect this special habitat and preserve our 100 year legacy.

Who: Lisa Gonzalez, Executive Director Audubon Texas and Alexis Baldera, Coastal Program Manager
