AT: Bird Friendly Texas: Birds and Texas Energy

August 23, 2023 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Virtual.  Register for Zoom Link.

Since the 1970s, the bird population has declined by 3 billion. Our ever changing climate is a main driver for habitat loss resulting in unprecedented declines of many species including Baltimore Orioles, Meadowlarks and Warblers, but together through conservation actions and sustainable energy grid solutions, we can build a better future for us and our feathered friends.

Audubon Texas and Stoic Energy Consulting invite you to recap the transmission and capacity needs facing Texans, and discuss opportunities that renewable sources can play in a more sustainable and reliable grid. From Winter Storm Uri to rising sea levels, Texas is facing unprecedented challenges due to a changing climate. Together, we can influence innovative solutions for our communities.

Join us for a special edition Bird Friendly Texan Webinar on building a Texas grid to meet the needs of people, our planet and the birds.

When: Wednesday, August 23rd at 2:00pm CT

What: Bird Friendly Webinar on Birds and Energy Sustainability in Texas
