Workshop is offered twice on April 5th, 2:00 and 7:00 Central
Birds and people share ecosystems and resources, from the city to the country, from coast to coast, and everywhere in between. In a similar way, the injustices faced by people, especially Black and Brown communities, also impact birds, both in people’s freedom to enjoy them and in the science we use to conserve them. Join ornithologist Corina Newsome as she shares how birds launched her career in wildlife conservation, the way justice for people improves conservation for birds, and how birds have been a vehicle for liberation and justice, as demonstrated through the Black Birders Movement.
A zoom link for the webinar will be emailed to registrants the day of the event. If you have not seen an email come through please check your spam folder.
This webinar will be recorded and a recording will be sent out to registrants several days later and posted onto our YouTube.
