Join Birding for Fun for a Bird’s Eye View on Behavior in their winter series on Monday evenings. Classes online are Mondays at 7pm-8pm via zoom. Fee applies, each class is $15 with discounts on multiple class registrations. Participants may register for individual classes or whole series.
Join us for this special series of Monday evening workshops on a variety of birds in action to learn how you can use behavior to help with identification. Focus is on the species common along the Upper Texas Coast, with ID tips and tricks about using behavioral and habitat clues.
October 21 – 28, 2024: Large Waders – This mini-series will focus on families of long-legged waders (herons, cranes, and allies) with ID tips for species common along the Upper Texas Coast.
November 4 – 25, 2024: Small Waders – This mini-series will focus on families of smaller waders (sandpipers, plovers, and allies) with ID tips for species common along the Upper Texas Coast.
December 2 – 9, 2024: Aerialists – This mini-series will focus on families of aerialists (gulls, terns, and allies) with ID tips for species common along the Upper Texas Coast.
December 16, 2024 – January 27, 2025: Birds of Prey – This mini-series will focus on families of diurnal and nocturnal raptors (falcons, hawks, owls, etc.) with ID tips for species common along the Upper Texas Coast.
February 3 – 17, 2025: Woodpeckers – This mini-series will focus on woodpeckers with ID tips for species common along the Upper Texas Coast.
