Kelly Norrid, TPWD Wildlife Biologist will present a program on Texas Horned Lizards, Bobwhite Quail and Louisiana Black Bear on the coastal prairie and how we can work to conserve these species and protect their habitat.
Kelly Norrid: Growing up in southeast Texas, Kelly spent countless hours exploring his backyard-which just happened to be the creeks and game trails of the Sam Houston National Forest. His diverse background includes participation in wildlife reintroduction programs, rare plant surveys throughout southeast Texas, and habitat restoration projects. He is proficient in the identification of native plants and the ecology of southeast Texas. In 2010, Kelly was hired by Texas Parks and Wildlife to be the Natural Resource Specialist for Sheldon Lake State Park and later, Davis Hill State Natural Area. In 2015, Kelly became part of the Texas Parks and Wildlife, Wildlife Diversity Program by becoming an Urban Wildlife Biologist serving the Greater Houston/Galveston Area.
