AT: Compacted Clay Soil – How to Let Nature Do the Work

June 18, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

You can never know too much about soil and the many creatures that live in it and make it work. Daniel Millikin will talk about our compacted clay soil, why it’s a problem, what to do about it and what not to do – how to let nature work.

About the presenter:

Daniel Millikin is the Executive Director of OHBA – Organic Horticulture Benefits Alliance and Host of HomeShow Garden Pros. Dany is a plant health enthusiast who loves soil, soil biology, root anatomy and the way they all work together. He has served as Conservation Program Manager of Memorial Park Conservancy, Lead Horticulturalist for Hermann Park Conservancy, and operated an organic, edible-focused landscaping company. Daniel is a ninth-generation Texan and due to his strong Texan heritage, is drawn to native Texas plants and conserving the natural setting. He loves introducing beginner vegetable gardeners and native novices to new or better ways to grow their own plants.
