Erica will share a visual presentation about the process of converting an abandoned, vacant lot and an overgrown utility easement into a community garden and pocket prairie.

Erica Hubbard is the co-founder of the Fifth Ward Pocket Prairie and Hershe Community Garden, an Urban Harvest affiliate garden, located in the historic Fifth Ward neighborhood of Houston. She is a community and environmental activist devoted to the intersectionality of environmental justice and nature restoration in the Fifth Ward, a place she has called home since 2015.
