AT: Ft. Bend Master Gardener presentation – Butterflies and Hummingbirds

In person.  Free at Missouri City Branch Library at 1530 Texas Parkway, Missouri City. 

“Butterflies and Hummingbirds” at 2 p.m. Monday, June 24.

This program is presented by Fort Bend County Master Gardener Nancy Shafer, a Missouri City resident and Master Gardener since 2004. “Watching beautiful butterflies and hummingbirds in our gardens can be a relaxing and educational activity for the whole family. Creating a habitat for them is not difficult and will be worth the effort,” said Shafer.

This session will include the life cycle of butterflies, host and nectar plants for butterflies, plants that will attract both butterflies and hummingbirds, providing food and nesting materials for hummingbirds and the kinds of butterflies and hummingbirds that may be seen in this area.
