AT: Guided Foraging Hike at Don Greene Nature Park – Houston

In person, outdoor guided hike.  Bring water, hat and dress for weather conditions. Hike registration required due to limited parking.

Join naturalist Janice Walden on a guided Foraging hike at the Don Greene Nature Park.  Learn how to identify wild edibles and herbs safely, ethically and sustainably as participants explore the nature trail.  Registration limited to 12 participants with street parking.   To register visit webpage here and type in “Don Greene Pocket Nature Park.”   Registration opens June 15th.

About the Hike Leader

Janice is an on-staff Naturalist with Harris County Precinct 4 parks based at the John Paul Landing Environmental Education Center. In 2016, Janice helped establish Don Greene Nature Park as a county park and has been its principal conservationist and caretaker for the past eight years. In 2018 Janice became a certified Texas Master Naturalist and is an active member of the Lower Trinity Basin Chapter.
