Land, Water, & Wildlife Expeditions are:
For youth ages 11-17, and their parent or guardian 1-to-3-day expeditions on private land
An opportunity to learn alongside mentors and natural resource experts
About topics such as birding, angler education, native plants, and much more.
Our ideal mentor is someone:
With a love for the outdoors
Who has a passion for outdoor education
Who desires to share that experience with others.
Participants at our Mentor Training will:
Learn how to introduce this program to landowners, plan and facilitate an expedition experience, recruit participants, volunteers and natural resource experts, and more
Have the opportunity to get involved with this new program and introduce youth to the outdoors.
What: Learn how to introduce this program to landowners, plan and execute an expedition experience, recruit participants, volunteers and natural resource experts, and more.
When: Saturday, August 26, 2023 – 9 AM to 4 PM; Optional Volunteer Angler Education Instructor Workshop on Sunday, August 27, 2023 – 9 AM to 3 PM
Where: Richmond, Texas
Why: For the opportunity to work with private landowners and increase the number of introductory outdoor opportunities for Texans..
How: Register for and attend this workshop, and complete required pre-requisite work.
Cost: $50, includes breakfast, lunch, and snacks.
*An optional Volunteer Angler Ed Instructor is being offered Sunday, August 27 free of charge*
