Rain Barrel Workshop presented by the Galveston Bay Foundation

Galveston Bay Foundation’s Rain Barrel Program works in partnership with Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages to conserve water and reduce stormwater runoff, pollution, and bacteria entering Galveston Bay.
This workshop will consist of a supply pickup, hands-on presentation, and Q&A session with Galveston Bay Foundation staff. The presentation will discuss water conservation tools like Water My Yard, the environmental benefits of reducing freshwater usage and collecting rainwater, as well as proper rain barrel preparation, installation instructions and tips. Show up early or stick around after the event to enjoy walking through the beautiful botanic gardens and trails.
Participants who purchase a rain barrel and kit can pick up their supplies between 10:00 and 11:30 am and opt to stay for the hands-on installation presentation and educational water conservation event at 10:30 am, or utilize a video link for instructions at a later date. Pre-registration is required to reserve a barrel.
