Everything about opossums is weird. They’re the only marsupials found north of Mexico. They have opposable thumbs… on their hind feet. They eat garbage and play dead. But there’s more to these strange creatures than meets the eye, as they are some of the most successful animals in North America, and they are extremely helpful to humans. Surprised? Find out why you should love opossums in this class! Note that as opossums are nocturnal, we won’t be seeing any live animals, but we will have specimens to explore.
Notes: Wear walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing.
