From the sugary sweet nectar to the dark, earthy soil, microbes shape how plants survive, how the die, and how plants interact with each other and other organisms. Microbes, such as bacteria and fungi, could be unforeseen threats, or unacknowledged beneficial aids to plants in nature, in restoration and in agriculture.
