Webinar offered on October 4th at 2pm AND 7pm
Awareness about nature, which should grow organically from a young age is missing in today’s world. In this age of electronics and competitiveness, our lives have become mechanical, and we are missing out on the best and free things that our planet offers. We don’t want to be in a situation where we tell our future generations that, Once upon a time….there was Nature!
Deforestation, the pollution of air and waterways, habitat destruction, population growth, overconsumption, exploitation and other damaging human activities, have negatively impacted the planet. The issue is identifying the root cause and not the effect. We don’t have to save the planet, but let’s not spoil it! Join Saanvi Sita Mylavarapu, a sophomore at Independence High school in Frisco ISD who will help bring awareness and build an atmosphere to encourage everyone to help the kids foster an appreciation for the nature around them and help them understand their place within it.
Saanvi is involved in several environmental conservation initiatives including the creation of ‘Young Roots’ an environmental and ecology club in Frisco ISD aimed at encouraging students to spend more time outdoors and create a more eco-friendly community and also ‘Nature Worthy’, a non-profit organization which is on a mission to bring awareness to get kids and teenagers to spend time outdoors and get close to nature
