AT: Saving Pollinators in your Native Habitat

In-person. Workshop at Brazos Bend State Park with two post workshop field trips to Morning Star Prairie Plant Nursery and Nash Prairie

Learn from Nancy Denmark, a leading milkweed expert, about the challenges that our pollinators face and how we can help them to survive. Nancy has a huge following of other pollinator enthusiasts that have lerarned from her expertise.

Mark Morgenstern will share the secrets of growing healthy and attractive native prairie plants. He is one of the region’s top growers and owns Morning Star Prairie Plant Nursery, LLC (10 miles south of Brazos Bend State Park).

Workshop Location: Brazos Bend State Park Dining Hall

What to Bring: All participants should wear comfortable clothing suitable for hiking. A hat and long pants are highly recommended.

Park entrance fees will be waived for registered participants

Log workshop time (2 hours max) in VMS under AT: Skills Enhancement Courses
