February 5th, two options at 2pm and 7pm while seats last. This webinar features speaker Caitlin Tran, Program Manager, Texan By Nature
Texan by Nature (TxN) believes that local, on-the-ground conservation is a vital part of an enduring sustainability strategy for industry, municipalities, and individuals alike. Unfortunately, trusted frameworks and standard data sets are largely unavailable. These types of tools are foundational in understanding baseline needs, setting goals, measuring results, and reporting impacts that align with global standards and policies. Without standard, accepted data and frameworks, critical conservation work is underfunded and underreported.
Join us for a webinar exploring how Texan by Nature (TxN) bridges gaps between business and conservation by using data as a driver, a common language, and a decision-maker through calculating and reporting Return on Conservation™ (ROC™), which TxN defines as “the total return realized by investing in conservation, encompassing all variables – financial, human, and natural resources.” During this webinar, TxN will provide an overview of: (1) TxN Return on Conservation™ Report: a baseline dataset and framework that details the state of conservation spend and associated return for the state of Texas. This dataset and framework presents both a broad and deep perspective and are intended for use by all Texans including industry, conservation organizations, and municipalities. And, (2) TxN Return on Conservation™ Index: service provided by TxN to select conservation partners and business members. ROC™ Indexes provide verifiable metrics for reporting a project’s environmental, social, and economic impact using the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a framework.
