AT: Texas Water Specialist Study Group – Ch. 5

The Texas Waters Specialist study group will be having a discussion session on Monday, May 22 covering Ch. 5 – “The Ecological Significance of Natural Flow Regimes”.

Topics that we’ll be discussing include:

• What factors determine the structure of a stream corridor?
• How does a stream reach “equilibrium”?
• How does stream flow relate to groundwater?
• How do natural flow patterns affect things like sediment, organic matter, temperature, nutrient balance, and organisms’ life cycles?
