AT: Tree Identification Walk at Russ Pitman Park

In person at Russ Pitman Park, located at 7112 Newcastle, Bellaire, TX, just inside West 610 Loop between Bellaire Blvd and Evergreen.

Any season is a great season to learn about trees!  Jim McKee, a Master Naturalist, tree lover, and bird watcher leads outdoor monthly walks on tree identification.  You’ll learn how to use leaf, bark, twig characteristics, and more to identify local trees in the area. Jim also discusses interesting historical facts and other details of tree biology.

Master Naturalist and tree lover Jim McKee leads these Saturday morning walks on the 1st Saturday of each month, from 10am – 11am, September to May.

Program Location: Meet in front of the Nature Discovery Center

Cost: FREE

Registration: No registration is required. This is a drop in program.
