This presentation will provide an overview of the history of non-native invasive grasses, identification, and three levels of management approaches for restoring native grasslands. Participants will recall the history associated with non-native, invasive bluestems and bermudagrass. Participants will be able to define monoculture and identify non-native, invasive bluestems and bermudagrass. Participants will be able to evaluate their rangeland for non-native invasive bluestems and bermudagrass monocultures and apply the knowledge gained to best manage their rangeland through passive management, diversity management, or eradication.
