The Central Texas Mycology Society presents Wild Mushroom Foraging in Texas with guest speaker Angel Schatz. Angel radiates passion for understanding the ecosystem of central Texas and making mycology education accessible to anyone who shares interest.

There are thousands of mushroom species in Texas and only a small amount of them are considered choice edibles. Join forage.atx to learn when, where and how to identify wild edibles, their look-alikes, and get tips on collecting, prepping and cooking. We will talk about the ethics of foraging and how we can all be better relatives to the fungi “kindom.”
