AT:Citizen Science: Monarch Watch with Lauren Davidson

September 16, 2020 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

$16

Monarchs are arguably the most famous butterfly species. Much of this attention can be attributed to their long and well-known migration in North America. But did you know they do not all actually migrate? Did you also know they do not hold the record for longest migration? This evening entomologist Lauren Davidson will delve into the rigors of the monarch migration, current threats against them and what you can do as a citizen scientist to further the research and protection of this ambassador species. Lauren Davidson is the Cockrell Butterfly Center’s lepidopterist charged with keeping the conservatory stocked with exotic butterflies from all over the world.
