Seabourne Creek Nature Park has been the Coastal Prairie Chapter’s signature project for the past 13 years. Learn about the fascinating history of the relationship between the Coastal Prairie Chapter and the City of Rosenberg and how this partnership has resulted in the beautiful park that Seabourne is today.
Karl Baumgartner is one of the first TMNCPC chapter members. He was in the class of 2005 which was the first full year of chapter activities. He is Past President of the TMNCPC in the years 2009 & 2010. Karl introduced the agreement proposition with City of Rosenberg for TMNCPC management of Seabourne Creek Nature Park in 2010. Karl was also the TMNCPC Director of Seabourne Creek Nature Park from 2010-2018. Karl owns several rural properties in Fort Bend, Wharton, and Jackson counties and he opens these properties for TMN and scout field trips. Karl created and contributed a Conservation Easement for his 550 acre wildlife property in Jackson County to the Coastal Prairie Conservancy (formerly KPC).
