Chapter Program: “A Short History of the Gerhart Prairie and It’s Eventual Restoration” presented by Mark Morgenstern

Join us and learn all about the Gerhart Prairie, a 16-acre pristine prairie halfway between Houston and Angleton. Mark will also include information about the native prairie plants which will be available for sale to in-person attendees! Mark Morgenstern is the owner of Morningstar Prairie Plants in Damon, Texas. Mark Morgenstern is the owner of Morningstar Prairie Plants in Damon, Texas. Mark’s motto is “Bring Wildlife into Your Yard”. His plants are propagated and grown right here in Fort Bend County so the provenance will be conducive to successful transplanting. 
NOTE: This meeting will start at 6:30 pm. Coastal Prairie Chapter programs are free.  The public is invited to attend via Zoom.   Check back here a couple days before the program for the registration link. 
Chapter members and spouses may attend either in-person at the HMNS-SL or by Zoom.  Registration through SignUp Genius is required for in-person attendance.  

The Texas Master Naturalist program is sponsored by Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service.
