Learn about the history, mission, and latest efforts of the Coastal Prairie Conservancy (CPC) and how you can get involved. This month’s program features Bethany Foshe’e, CPC Stewardship and Outreach Director, who will also highlight the launch of Texas’ first certified Conservation Cemetery. She will share news about the “20,000 Milkweeds Initiative”, “The Great Grow Out Program”, and the “9 Natives Program”, as well as a few other exciting stewardship and outreach endeavors on the Katy Prairie.
About Our Presenter:
Bethany Foshée joins the Coastal Prairie Conservancy team with extensive experience working with Houston’s environmental nonprofits. Bethany oversees outreach programs and stewardship activities on Coastal Prairie Conservancy’s protected lands. In her role as Project Manager of the Nature’s Burial initiative, Bethany will guide individuals and families as they honor their loved ones, facilitate customer sales, coordinate community development, and manage day-to-day operations. Bethany holds a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences and a Master of Science in Recreation, Park and Tourism Sciences from Texas A&M University. She is also a licensed funeral director.
Coastal Prairie Chapter programs are free and open to the public. This program will be held in-person at the Rosenberg Civic Center, 3825 TX-36, Rosenberg, TX 77471. A virtual option is available (information below). Please plan to arrive at our new time of 6:00 pm for social time and refreshments. The program starts at 7 pm.
