EARTH DAY AT SEABOURNE WITH THE GIRL SCOUTS!
We’ve got an Earth Day event at Seabourne! Girl Scouts from our area are going to plant native trees at Seabourne on Saturday, April 23 and we need your help to supervise. We are
generously providing the trees and they are providing the labor! Teams of 2-3 scouts and one parent will plant two trees per team. There will be about 15 teams planting a total of 30 trees. We will need 6 roving supervisors who will oversee the Girl Scout teams and offer suggestions on the proper tree planting technique. We will not be doing the planting, but we will predig the holes using the tractor and the new augur. This will make the planting much easier for the scouts and the parents. We’d also like a photographer to document all the photo opportunities. The SignUp Genius has been emailed to all members. Questions? Your contact at the chapter is Greg Hurley. He will be the onsite coordinator and will demonstrate the proper planting technique to the scouts. Greg can be reached at greg@coastalprairie.org or 832-451-2429.
