The Texas Master Naturalist Coastal Prairie Chapter (TMN CPC) will host the Texas Pollinator Bioblitz. This Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) event will be conducted from Friday, 10/7/2022 – Sunday, 10/23/2022, at Seabourne Creek Nature Park (SCNP).

On Saturday, 10/15/2022, 9:00 AM – Noon, the TMN CPC will have a table set up in SCNP parking lot area to welcome and encourage park visitors to participate in this event. The goal is to increase participation in the Texas Pollinator Bioblitz and to discover the diversity of SCNP’s pollinator species. The TMN CPC will interact with park guests to share the significance of the Texas Pollinator Bioblitz and citizen science, and to introduce iNaturalist/iSeek.

To join iNaturalist project: https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/2022-texas-pollinator-bioblitz.

To join the SCNP iNaturalist project: https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/seabourne-plants-and-wildlife.

All participants, including TMN CPC members, who have joined the above two iNaturalist projects will be eligible to win prizes for the most pollinator observations and most pollinator species observed. The TMN CPC volunteers do not need to be experts – just friendly and encouraging to the public.

Spread the word with the TMN CPC’s hashtag: #seabournebioblitz.
