Per Katie Sallean, “Join us on Tuesday, November 8th from 6:30pm-7:30pm via Zoom to discuss planning for the 2023 calendar year at Sugar Land Houston Museum of Science. This meeting is open to all members (trained and untrained). How would you like to reach youth and adults about a topic that you are interested in? All ideas are welcome! Here are some suggested topics for next year:

Attracting Butterflies to your Backyard

Amazing Backyard Birds

Garden Bad Guys-are they really Good Guys? (wasps, snakes, etc.)

Join the Bug Club (any entomologists out there?)

Frogs, Toads and Snakes, oh my!

Healthy Soil makes happy plants

Wild for wildlife!

Dragonflies-how they got their name

Things that go bump in the night-our nocturnal friends

The Buzz about Native Bees

Kids in the Garden-Why Grow Native?

Hummingbirds-the tiniest acrobats

SOS-Save our Endangered Species

Fantastic Fungi

The above is just a sample. We will also discuss outreach numbers for 2022, talk about suggestions for reaching more people, and discuss ways to make the presentations fun and informative for visitors. There will be additional training dates for members who still would like to get trained.

Any questions?  Contact Katie Sallean or Jamie Fairchild.  See you there!” A Zoom link will be sent to the attendees prior to the meeting.
