VSP: 2023 Saturday Outreach at the Houston Museum of Natural Science at Sugar Land

Join us in reaching out to the community every 2^nd and 4^th Saturday at the Houston Museum of Natural Science at Sugar Land. Share your knowledge and excitement of nature in a beautiful setting with families and kids at the museum. The topic for each session follows:

March 18, 2023 – (Note this is the 3^rd Saturday which will replace the 4^th Saturday workday for March)

Topic: Pond Life

• Learn why keeping our waterways clean are important
• Learn about the critters that live in a pond and how they have adapted to live there.
• Learn about our native frogs/toads
• Craft/Activity-TBD

10:30 AM – 1:00 PM: 2 slots

1:00 PM – 3:30 PM: 2 slots

Backup – 1 slot

We’ll have two shifts per Saturday and two people per shift to share duties. We are also asking for one backup for each Saturday workday (to cover either AM or PM shift). If everyone who is trained could sign up for one shift per quarter, we can make this outreach opportunity a success for our TMNCPC!

New chains of transmission are rare.”
