From the organizer:
I’m reaching out to personally invite you to our fall workday at Deer Park Prairie on Saturday, November 16th. This will be our largest workday of the year, and NPAT staff are coming from across Texas to help make it a success!
Starting this November, we’re aiming to hold two biannual workdays at Deer Park—one in spring and one in fall—to tackle major restoration projects with larger volunteer teams. If it’s possible for you to join us, it would be a great time to visit Deer Park and make a substantial impact on our prairie restoration efforts.
Here’s a general timeline for the day:
Our focus for this workday will be clearing woody debris from last year’s oak motte removal and cleaning up along the west fence line. This work is vital to supporting ongoing restoration efforts, and we’re excited to make some real progress with your help.
Please feel free to come for as much or as little time as you can—every bit makes a difference. We kindly ask that you register through our Ticket Tailor page so we can ensure we have plenty of food for everyone: Register Here.
Fall is truly a wonderful time to be out on the prairie, and we hope you can join us for this special day. Your support means the world to us and to the Deer Park Prairie.
Thank you for all that you do for Texas prairies, and I look forward to working with you on November 16th!
