Bird Sanctuary Work Day- Weston Lakes August 21, 2024

Keep Weston Lakes Beautiful is having a work day at the Weston Lakes Bird Sanctuary.
The Legacy Bricks have arrived and we can now display them along the concrete path by the water feature. We also have general maintenance of the area to be done. The area is well shaded by trees which helps with the heat, but always take breaks as needed. The entrance is gated and your name will be added to the visitor list. You will just need to provide your driver’s license.
The tasks Include:
1.Weed eating around bushes and trees
2.Weeding and trimming
3.Unloading bricks
4.Leveling the brick area, adding and compacting sand, and installing edge restraints.
5.Laying the bricks

What to Bring:
1.Gloves
2.Pruners if you have them
3.Water
4.Insect repellent

Date: Wednesday, August 21, 2024
Time: 7:30 AM until 10:30 AM, but come when you can and leave when you need to
during this time frame.
