VSP: Coastal Prairie Conservancy & Houston-Native Prairies Association of Texas’ Seed Cleaning Party

“The Coastal Prairie Conservancy (CPC) & Houston-Native Prairies Association of Texas (HNPAT) are hosting a Seed Cleaning & Packing Pizza Party at the 1/25/23 HNPAT monthly meeting. Learn how to clean wild collected prairie plant seeds for growing out. Prairie plant seeds collected from the wild last year will be packed into envelopes to be distributed to CPC’s Great Grow Out (KatyPrairie.org/GGO) participants and will be propagated at the KPC nursery in the coming year. Seeds from past years will be cleaned to be used in seed stomps at restoration events or for pocket prairies. Seed packers are encouraged to take some seeds home and participate in the GGO.

Come eat (Pizza is back this year!), make new friends, support CPC & HNPAT, & clean and pack seeds! Bring garden gloves, pruners/scissors, and a reusable cup for your drink (to benefit the environment) if you have them.
