Who: Coastal Prairie Conservancy (CPC)
What: Assist CPC in removing invasive species; clearing fences of vegetation; and planting Texas native plants.
Where: Indiangrass Preserve 31975 Hebert Road Waller TX 77484
When: Every 2nd Saturday of the month, 9:00 – 11:00 AM
Why: That’s what TMNCPC’s do!
Physical Requirements: Bending, kneeling, or sitting on the ground; some light lifting.
What to wear: Closed-toed shoes, tall socks, long pants, long-sleeved shirt, hat.
What to bring: Reusable water bottle, gardening gloves (or we have pairs to borrow). All other tools are provided.
Volunteer benefits: Stewardship Saturday volunteers are welcome to join the CPC guided
“Ranger Treks on the Prairie” immediately after the volunteer event and occasionally get to visit some of the CPC preserves that are closed to the public.
